As a child growing up in the seventies, it would be a good assumption that I would be a Beatles fan. However, with parents who were country music fans, I grew up with little exposure to their music. When asked to blog about who is my favorite Beatle, I had a difficult time choosing - not because of who they were, but because I don't really know them.
However, since I have to make a choice, I guess it would be Paul McCartney and really not for the fact that he was a Beatle, but that I know who he is. Since he was in on the 80's music scene when I was going through my "teenage" music phase, I actually have heard some of his music. I recall his songs with Michael Jackson in the 80's and their videos.

Even though the success of these songs were probably not comparable to the Beatles music, he made a name for himself once again as a pop music singer.

My sentiments exactly! I am not a "Beatlemaniac" either. I can appreciate their music and the imprint their music/group has put on our history. Each to his own is what makes the world go 'round!
