Summer Projects

As the summer days fly by with the speed that only these days have (the school days never go by this quickly!!), there are so many personal projects that I had planned to complete and as I usually find, the summer months pass too quickly to do them all. However, I have put them to the side for now and have spent the last few days working on the drawings for the Globaloria summer project for our team Reality Check. We are creating a game dealing with peer pressure among teenagers.

Due to a death in the family, I have been somewhat of a slacker (but not on purpose!!) and am trying to get caught up with my team mate Angie. She has been busy putting some of our beginning scenes together and it's looking good so far!

Even though "summer projects" with Globaloria are time consuming, they are so helpful. It really helps to have this type of project to practice flash skills and learn new ones too! It's difficult during the school year to find time to spend on practicing skills like this. So, even though I've had to put some of those personal projects to the side, I think the Globaloria summer project is one that will keep me focused on skills I will need to teach the class in the coming school year.
