"Falling" into Globaloria

Can you believe it is already the end of the first month of school ... the leaves are turning ... and the first progress reports have been issued??  It seems we just began our journey into Globaloria just a few days ago and now we're getting ready to embark on the actual gaming process. 

My students have been so enthusiastic about "decorating" their blogs and wiki pages.  Even though they complain about the actual blogging process, their blogs have been very informative. They have impressed me with the various thoughts they've had about their blog topics these past few weeks.  I'm sure proud of what they've accomplished in our 5 weeks together. 

One site they found is the btemplate.com website.  With it, they have created some beautiful and striking blogs.  Here are some of them ... Brandi's , Summer's,  and Marissa's. 

We started choosing team names and thinking about game ideas.  They seem excited to get into the gaming portion of the year.  They've been pushing me to get on with it even though they've enjoyed creating their sites.  I'm proud of their blogging skills for first year students.  They've taken each topic they've been given and given me some good responses.  I apologize to them that this is only my second blog and am letting them know I will be more focused on being a good example to them on blogging. 

Even though I still feel like a novice in flash, I'm looking forward to getting them into the gaming process because they are so excited!
