Another week gone
I've really been enjoying what little time I seem to have with my Globaloria group. We have had so many interruptions to our schedule (including my days out of school with family health matters) that it seems that I never get to see them. However, we worked the few days I was at school this past week catching up and getting ourselves ready for gaming. I'm starting to get some really good discussions with the teams on their planned games. Only one group is having some trouble with an idea, but they have a vague plan. I'm really excited to see what they all present. This coming week will be a hard one for me. My husband is getting results from his cancer tests on Tuesday and then my little one has surgery scheduled on Wednesday. I really am looking forward to when I can look back on this coming week as a distant memory!! My Globaloria students are beginning their paper prototyping this week and seem to be really excited. Since Mercedes and Brenden have done this before in HSTA, they know what to expect and I told them I was expecting a bunch of help from them! I plan to do videos when I get back to school (I will be off most of this week) and they are excited about it. I don't have a video camera at school, so I really wasn't sure how to film their paper prototypes, but am going to attempt it with my personal digital camera. I plan to ask Denise for tips on this when I get a chance to talk to her. All in all, I think with the many unplanned interruptions we've had this year, we're making some progress. I just can't seem to get the "routine" established that I'd like. The "OCD" side of me is going nuts with this problem, but it seems it's going to be "one of those years" again!! :-)

Natalie, Mercedes and Brenden did a paper prototype for HSTA last year. In fact, Mercedes drew up the whole thing. She should be a tremendous help.
Let the kids help as much as possible. Also the wiki is a great thing. As you are out let the wiki be your guide. I hope everything goes well for you this week and you get good news.
